Scientific Name: Styela clava
The Sea Squirt is present from Northland to Tauranga and found in Porirua, Picton, Tarakohe,
Nelson, Picton, Lyttelton and Otago Harbours.
This Asian Sea Squirt is brown with lumpy, leathery skin. Woody stalk, generally longer than the
body, with longitudinal folds.
